Middelburg and Vlissingen

Middelburg is described as the most beautiful and cosy city in Zeeland. This fortified town has a rich history which you can certainly see as you stroll through the narrow streets and along the canals. There are plenty of shops, specialty shops, squares and terraces. Vlissingen is the Netherlands' third largest port city with a 17th-century city centre and a 21st-century new part of town. A long promenade with many restaurants and terraces overlooking the beach and the sea. The art route and cycle routes or a visit to the arsenal are all worthwhile.
